Nigeria’s Flamingos have started training in Santo Domingo ahead of the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, Newnaija reports.

Bankole Olowookere’s side arrived the Dominican Republic capital for a two-week training exercise on Thursday.

The West Africans are expected to play a number of friendlies before the start of the competition.

The Flamingos are drawn in in Group A with hosts Dominican Republic, Ecuador and New Zealand.

The Nigerian girls will take on New Zealand in their opening fixture on Wednesday 16.
