THEY ARE A DISGRACE!! Libya National Team Should Be BANNED Immediately From Football

Newnaija 4 months ago 0 3

Victor Ikpeba has said Libya should be banned from international football after the inhumane treatment they subjected the Super Eagles to.

The Super Eagles are still stranded at the Al Abaq Airport following their arrival in the North African country on Sunday for a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday 4 encounter against the Mediterranean Knights.

The players – through the captain, William Troost-Ekong – have already indicated they will boycott the game.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has already sent a protest letter to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Ikpeba claimed Libya should be banned for their barbaric act.

“If CAF know their job, Libya ought to be banned from international football,” Ikpeba, who is part of the Nigerian delegation in Libya for the AFCON qualifier, was quoted by SCORENigeria.

“CAF are not mindful of the safety and wellbeing of players across Africa.

“This is a high-risk country and one really wonders who approved for Libya to be playing their games at home.

“I played for the Super Eagles for 10 years and I never experienced what I have in Libya in the last hours.”
