The Super Eagles of Nigeria have landed at the Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano after a botched match-day four of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya in Benghazi.

The inability to play the match was as a result of the unpleasant treatment meted out to the visitors after they were held hostage at the airport in Libya for more than 15 hours, leading to their resolve to fly back into the country.

Media officer of the team, Promise Efogie confirm this in a chat with ait.live saying; “Super Eagles finally return to Nigeria. Just Landed in Kano.”
