The Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters, Senator Basheer Lado Mohammed, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the aftermath of the senate screening of the Director General of Pension Commission, PenCom, Ms Omolola Bridget Oloworaran.
He said, the ongoing financial reforms would be sustainable if the process was allowed to complete, stressing that the situation faced by Nigerians presently would be incomparable with the gains that are lying ahead.
Lado said on Friday that the screening by the Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Service, reflects President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s financial institutions, curbing leakages, and boosting revenue flows to accelerate national development, adding that PenCom under Oloworaran was expected to heighten economic viability of the nation.
The Special Adviser further commended the President over appointment of 21 nominees as Commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC, which he said, are capable men and women.
“As the nominees await Senate confirmation, the Office of the Special Adviser remains committed to fostering a constructive working relationship that ensures the swift legislative approval of executive nominees and the smooth implementation of government policies aimed at national development.”
