Nine kidnap victims have been rescued by the Amotekun Security Network in Ondo state just as the corps disclosed foiling five other kidnap attempts in the last one week.
Commander of the Corps, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed this while parading 20 suspects arrested for various crimes across the state.
It’s round of parade of crime suspects arrested across three Senatorial districts in Ondo State in the last one week of operations by operatives of the state security Agency,The Amotekun corps.
Commander, Adetunji Adeleye in his remarks said the suspects were arrested for their involvement in Kidnappings, Cultism, stealing and Armed robbery.
Adeleye further noted that the corps has been active in combing the forests across the state, particularly in known flashpoints, to keep kidnappers at bay which led to foiling of Five kidnap attempts and rescue of victims.
The Amotekun commander who was only recently reappointed by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa said the corps has been outstanding in the discharge of it’s duties.
The Twenty suspects according to the security outfit will be arraigned in court for prosecution in the coming days. .
