The Kebbi State Government has distributed food items to 27,304 people affected by flood in Duru village, Shanga Local Government Areas of the state.
Governor Nasir Idris said the essence of the gesture was to support the flood victims and cushion the effects of the disaster.
He advised those affected to consider the flood as a destined to happen.
The Chairman, Kebbi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Bello Rilisco also commended Gov. Nasir Idris for his commitment in the promotion of unity and support to the less privileged.
The food items distributed comprise of bags of maize, millet and rice.
