Newnaija The Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) has commenced the distribution of election materials to various cal Governments and wards across the State, ahead of Saturday’s scheduled Council polls.
The distribution exercise took place at the ENSIEC headquarters in Enugu, in the presence of security chiefs led by the State Commissioner of Police, Kanayo Uzuegbu, and election observers.
Chairman of the Commission, Prof. Chris Ngwu, assured journalists that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure smooth and peaceful elections.
The Commissioner of Police also emphasized the readiness of security agencies to deal with any threat to a peaceful conduct of the exercise.
