Cuban singer El Taiger dies one week after being shot

Popular reggaeton singer, El Taiger is dead.

The 37-year-old died on Thursday October 10 2024, a week after being shot in the head.

His family confirmed the incident in an official statement share on the singer’s Instagram stories.

“On October 3, shortly after 7 a.m., officers responded to NW 17th St. 10 Ave and discovered El Taiger was shot in the head inside a black Mercedes SUV. And was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

“He underwent surgery and was placed on life support, but he succumbed to his injuries. From the moment of his arrival, a team of physicians at Jackson Memorial worked tirelessly to provide him with the care he needed.

“Sadly, this afternoon, El Taiger was pronounced dead and is now reunited with his beloved mother in heaven. While this is both shocking and heartbreaking, we urged his fans to honor his memory by celebrating the joy he brought to so many.”
