Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong has warned Austin Eguavoen’s side that Libya’s crowd will be hostile when both teams clash in the second leg of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifier on Tuesday in Benghazi.

The Super Eagles had won 1-0 in the first leg at the Godswill Akpabio international Stadium in Uyo on Friday.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru scored the game’s only goal in the second half.

“Libya will come out fighting, but we want to go there and seal our AFCON qualification,” William Troost-Ekong said at his post-match press conference after Nigeria defeated Libya in the first leg.

“The crowd will be hostile there, they will make it hard for us, but we will be ready.”

Nigeria currently top Group D with seven points from three matches, while Libya are in bottom of the table with just one point from the same number of games.
