Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen has blasted Libya for their time-wasting antics.
The Mediterranean Knights frustrated the Super Eagles with their delay tactics for the majority of the game.
Lazio midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru’s 86th-minute strike separated both teams on the night.
Eguavoen said the Mediterranean Knights only came out to play after conceding.
“They are a good side. They should play. When we scored, they came out,” he said after the game. “They defended in numbers in front of their goalkeeper.”
The two teams will clash again in Benina next week on Tuesday.
