Newnaija The Kebbi State Government has received various drugs from Donor Agencies to be distributed to patients in seventy-three healthcare facilities in Kebbi.
The Commissioner for Health, Yunusa Isma’il, thanked the donors for partnering with Kebbi State Government to enhance healthcare delivery services by donating free drugs and supplies to hospitals in the state.
The Commissioner said, government will give priority of the primary healthcare to the state and he is grateful to the Sultan Foundation for the kind gesture, the items would be judiciously utilized.
Director of the Foundation, Abdulrahman Liman said the drugs were procured by MAP International, an American NGO, and distributed by the Sultan Foundation.
Sultan Foundation for Peace and Development paid for logistics and transportation costs for onward distribution to primary healthcare centers and hospitals in Kebbi”,
He said “More consignments are on the way, we shall sustain support to healthcare delivery by facilitating easy access to services to improve the health indices of Kebbi”,
In his goodwill message the Emir of Argungu, Sama’ila Muhammadu Mera, represented by the Kunduda of Kabi, Ibrahim Hassan Kwaido, expressed appreciation for the provision of the medicines and medical supplies by the agency.
He affirmed that traditional rulers would continue to work towards uplifting the health status of the people.
The Sultan Foundation is out to serve humanity”, he said.
