Udinese goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye has confirmed that Inter Milan made an approach for him this summer.

The Nigeria international, however, said the Serie A champions were put off by the €15m asking price.

Okoye arrived Udinese from Sky Bet Championship club, Watford last summer.

The 25-year-old established himself as the Zebras first choice goalkeeper early this year.

The shot stopper played a crucial role in the club’s relegation fight last season.

Inter Milan were impressed with his impressive displays and put up a bid for the goalie which was turned down by Udinese.

“The interest from Inter was concrete, but Udinese were asking for €15m to buy me,” the shot-stopper told Transfermarkt.

“It would’ve been a dream, but I don’t regret how things went. I am happy to still be at this club, to be the Number 1 here.

“The situation could repeat itself if I keep working hard and maintain constant performances.”
