The Nigerian Senate has confirmed Olukemi Victoria Iyantan as a Commissioner to represent Ondo State in the National Population Commission (NPC).
The confirmation follows the consideration and adoption of the report by the Committee on National Identity Card and National Population presented by the Chairman, Abdul Ningi.

Ningi highlighted Iyantan’s qualifications, prompting the Senate to review and confirm her appointment.
The Senate thereafter moved into the Committee of the Whole for a clause-by-clause consideration before confirming Iyantan’s appointment.
After the confirmation, Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Jibrin Barau encouraged Iyantan to collaborate with other Commissioners and the NPC Chairman to drive the Commission forward.
