Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has urged judges and other judicial officers to stand by the truth and uphold justice at all times, saying that it’s the only way God will elevate them.

Governor Fubara said this on Friday while presiding over the swearing of eight more judges of the Rivers State High Court.

He promised to continue to respect the independence of the judiciary and vowed never to be a party to the subversion of justice adding that the appointment of the judges is in line with the efforts of his administration to help dispense with the many pending cases at the various courts.

Governor Fubara said the move is also geared toward ensuring the speedy dispensation of justice and easing the workload of judges who are overworked as a result of them not being enough
He used the opportunity to assure the people of the state that the worst days are over and things will get better in Rivers State as his administration will continue to tow the path of peace, unity, and tolerance.
