Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has once again declared his administration’s commitment to creating the required enabling environment for entrepreneurs to thrive, by creating initiatives that make entrepreneurship attractive and promote competitiveness.
The Governor made this known at an event to empower 20 young entrepreneurs with cash gifts worth N60million and other working equipment, with a call for more youths to embrace entrepreneurship.
According to available statistics, the best weapon to fight poverty in Nigeria and across the globe is through entrepreneurship.
Flowing from this position, the Ondo State Government is now keying into encouraging more young persons to become entrepreneurs that will make them succeed in life.
Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa in his remarks, revealed plans to transform Ondo State into Nigeria’s leading hub for entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology with a view to changing the narrative of Ondo being a purely civil service State.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Entrepreneurship, Summy Smart Francis commended the governor’s efforts in aspiring young entrepreneurs, even in the most remote areas of the State.
Beneficiaries who got N1million cash and N2million worth of equipment each as start ups, promised to utilize the opportunity to boost the State’s economy.
