Mental Health Day: Experts Call For Regular Checks, Caution Against Stigmatization

One In Four Nigerians, Approximately Fifty Million People are suffering from Some sort of Mental illness According To The World Health Organization ( WHO).

Worried about This Statistics,Some health Experts have advised People to take their mental health more seriously with the Pressure of Prevailing Economic Challenges.

They were Speaking In Commemoration of the 2024 World Mental Health Day with the theme “Mental Health At Work.

Mental Health And Physical Health are both necessary for the wellness And Quality of Life Of An Individual,but due to stigmatization, some people would rather not discuss their mental challenges.

World Mental Health Day is Observed On 10th of October every year to raise awareness about mental health wellness issues And promote mental well-being across the Globe.

Speakers Also Appealed to Nigerian Leaders to put a human face on their policies to reduce Stress that could induce mental Challenges On People.
