Newnaija Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that TikToker Ojesanmi Afeez popularly known as Newnaija.com.ngentertainments/oh-no-tiktoker-salo-reportedly-shot-by-some-unknown-lekki-gunmen-video”>Oloba Salo was shot in the Lekki area of the state.
Tunde Perry, a friend of Oloba Salo, had called people’s attention over the incident on Thursday.
Perry, also a TikToker, said his friend was fighting for his life at Perez Medcare Hospital, Lekki Phase 2 after he was reportedly shot in the leg by gunmen who also made off with his gold chain.
He said:
“They have shot Salo in the leg. They have also stolen his gold chain at one filling station in Lekki. Some boys just rushed him to the hospital and I have gone there now.”
Lagos police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin, in a post on the micro blogging platform, X, appreciated doctors at Evercare Hospital, while urging other hospitals in the state not turn down gunshot victims.
He wrote:
“Special appreciation/commendation to Evercare Hospital, Lekki for promptly accepting/commencing medical treatment of gunshot victim, Ojesanmi Afeez aka Oloba Salo, and equally promptly notifying the Police.”
