The Kebbi State Government has received three billion naira from the Federal Government for flood mitigation that ravaged several communities in the state.
The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, announced this in Birnin Kebbi in an interview with journalists on steps the Federal Authorities have taken to bring succour to victims.
Bagudu said the Federal Government allocated N3 billion to each state of the Federation to mitigate the effect of flooding, noting that the state Governor has intimated him that the state has taken possession of its share of the fund.

“I commiserate with the people of Kebbi on the devastating natural phenomenon, climate change is real, Europe is also suffering from flooding”,
Bagudu praised the Governor for taking necessary action to bring relief to all Communities affected by flooding and encouraging unrelenting cultivation of crops among farmers for self sufficiency in food production.
