Edo PDP Heads To State Tribunal Over Governorship Election Results

Newnaija 4 weeks ago 0 0

Edo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, says it has filed a petition before the state tribunal to reclaim what it described as the stolen mandate of the party given to its candidate, Asue Ighodalo, in the recently held governorship election in the state.

This was disclosed by the party’s Chairman, Anthony Aziegbemi and the Director General of the party’s campaign organisation, Matthew Iduoriyekemwen at a media briefing which held at the PDP secretariat in Benin City.

Anthony Aziegbemi used the opportunity to respond to allegations that the party had chosen to disrupt the process of inspection of electoral materials as mandated by an exparte order obtained by the PDP.

Matthew Iduoriyekemwen is optimistic that the party will emerge victorious in the long run.

They want PDP stalwarts and other well-meaning Nigerians to keep faith and hope for the best.
