Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is not expected to be out for long, as it has emerged that he only suffered cramps during the 1-0 win over Tottenham on Sunday.

The 23-year-old limped out of the North London derby in the 86th minute and was replaced by youngster Ethan Nwaneri.

Saka, who provided the assist for Gabriel’s winner, went down after no clear contact and required treatment on the pitch before hobbling off moments later.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is already without Martin Odegaard, who suffered an ankle injury while on international duty with Norway last week.

Mikel Merino is out with a shoulder dislocation, with Oleksandr Zinchenko joining Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney on the injured list.

Riccardo Calafiori also returned from the international break with a knock.

Arsenal begin their Champions League campaign away to Atalanta on Thursday before travelling to play Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
