Former Atalanta striker, German Denis has named Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez as the player that deserves the 2024 Ballon d’Or more than anyone else.
Martinez will compete with the likes of Vinicius Junior, Rodri, Jude Bellingham, Dani Cavaljah, Kylian Mbappe, among others for the Ballon d’Or this year.
The Argentina international was included in the 30-man shortlist for the prestigious award after enjoying a successful 2023-24 campaign at club and national team levels.
Speaking recently in an interview with TMW, Denis said (via Football Italia):
“This season, Lautaro Martinez deserves to win the Ballon d’Or more than anyone because he scored a lot and achieved all his goals.”
Martinez helped Inter Milan to win the Scudetto last season as he scored 24 goals and provided six assists in 33 games.
