“Are they now using dollar to buy corn?” Actress, Empress Njama laments hike in price of corn and coconut (video)

Empress Njamah has gone on Instagram to complain about the price of corn, African pear, and coconut. The actress said corn used to be a snack that everyone could afford and was something one ate while waiting to eat a real meal. But she says the price of corn now makes it a full meal. She added that the money she would use to buy corn, ube, and coconut now is enough to cook a pot of soup. She questioned why such an affordable meal has gone out of the reach of poor citizens. She also asked if “they now using dollars to buy corn.” In the caption, she wrote: I no get caption.
